Slowtide securely retains all personal details, account information, and correspondence on a securely encrypted server hosted by shopify.com. Slowtide retains these records in order to fulfill your online purchases and analyze it to improve our customer service and website experience. Slowtide doesn’t share, sell, or exchange this information with any individual or company outside of performing the aforementioned tasks. We don’t collect, retain, or store any credit card, bank, or financial information whatsoever – this is handled by our payment gateways so please read their privacy policies (PayPal or SecurePay). When purchasing from us, your financial details are passed through to payment gateways via a secure/private Shopify server using the latest 128-bit SSL encryption. We may modify or cancel the Service, or any of its features, at any time without notice. To the extent permitted by law, we may also update these Mobile Terms, and your continued use of the Service following any changes constitutes your acceptance of those updates.

1. Consent to Receive Messages

By opting in, you agree to receive recurring SMS/text messages from Slowtide at the mobile number you provided, including messages sent via an automated dialing system. Messages may include:

  • Service-related alerts (e.g., order updates, account notices).

  • Promotional messages (e.g., offers, specials, cart reminders).

Your consent to receive texts is not required as a condition of purchase, and participation in the program is voluntary.

2. Costs & Frequency

Slowtide does not charge for the Service, but message and data rates may apply depending on your wireless plan. Message frequency may vary. You are responsible for all charges related to text messaging.

3. Opt-Out Instructions

You may cancel at any time by texting STOP to +1 (877) 652-1159 or by clicking the unsubscribe link (where available). You’ll receive a confirmation message, and no further texts will be sent unless you re-enroll.

If you subscribe to multiple Slowtide text programs, you must opt out of each separately.

5. Service Changes

We may change the phone number or short code used to operate the Service. If that happens, we’ll notify you. Messages sent to a discontinued number may not be received, and we are not responsible for honoring requests sent to outdated numbers.

6. Carrier Disclaimer

Supported wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. You agree to provide us with a valid mobile number. If you get a new mobile number, you must re-enroll in the program.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Slowtide is not liable for failed, delayed, or misdirected delivery of any information sent through the Service, any errors in such information, and/or any action you may or may not take in reliance on the Service.

8. Privacy & Data Use

We value your privacy and the information you consent to share in relation to our SMS marketing service. We use this information to send you:

  • Text notifications (including order updates and abandoned checkout reminders)

  • Text marketing offers

  • Transactional texts (including review requests)

Our website also uses cookies to track items placed in your shopping cart, including when you have abandoned your checkout. This information may be used to determine when to send cart reminder messages via SMS.
