Syria and Turkey are in a state of emergency due to recent earthquakes and dozens of aftershocks. Our hearts are heavy with news of what has unfolded there this week and we’d like to present a call to action to our community. We’ll be donating 50% of profits from today’s online sales (2/9/2023) to The White Helmets and UNICEF in support of relief efforts there. The White Helmets are a nonprofit organization made up of 3,000 volunteers that are presently helping the Syrian community. As they search for survivors and pull the dead from collapsed buildings, they urgently need support (equipment + supplies) to continue numerous search and rescue operations in the region.

The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) has also mobilized aid to Syria, and is focusing on assessing the impact the quake had on water stations and any other interruptions to services. In addition to these efforts, UNICEF is also assessing the damages schools face and helping unaccompanied children find their families.
