Colin is a Canadian mountain man with incredible photography talents and we are blessed to call him a friend and contributor. We traveled with Colin to the Chilean Andes years ago and are dying to make a trip to his Paradise.
Join Colin's journey through his idea of Paradise around his Kootenay Mountain Cabin.
"Our cabin is our paradise found. It’s remote and off-grid with no cell phone service or internet. It’s a very tight knit community of cabin owners who love Noboarding, snowboarding, snowmobiling, and winter in general. Some say there’s a harsh ‘locals only’ vibe, but it’s a really rare and special place so people are pretty secretive and protective.
We were very lucky to buy this place because they don’t come up for sale very often. Most everyone else bought the land and then built their own cabins but we were lucky to get one already built."

The Cabin
The view
A good way to wake up.
The terrain offers up a few options to shoot.
The cabin sits around 500m in elevation and the size and beauty of the trees always blows my mind.
Sunny days and clear skies are a rarity during mid winter but when the clouds do break it makes for some amazing moments.
