Lazy Jamie is a home decor brand for indoors enthusiasts. Today, Jamie curates and sources home decor from around the world—with original furniture designs in development—to help herself and others create a safe space to be lazy.

How long have you called this space home?
I've been living in this Venice Beach home for the past 4 years.
Where do you draw your design inspiration?
I know the "cool" thing to say is travel, art, or some niche reference, but honestly, for me, it's social media. There is a lot of pain caused by social media, but it exposes us to a lot of beauty as well. I love seeing the taste and style of real people, whom I wouldn't have access to without social media. I get very energized by seeing a great outfit or room.
What makes a place 'home' for you?
You have to feel safe and comfortable to be both productive and lazy. Those things are not as easy as they sound. And having my cat, Karlie, there.
Where or what is your favorite spot / part of the house?
My bed. Preferably laying in it freshly showered in new sheets and on my computer.
What is a home essential you cannot live without?
I love a good TV tray. The TV tray is vastly underrated. We all eat in front of the TV at least occasionally, whether we like to admit it or not.
Advice for anyone designing their home?
I love a trend as much as the next gal, but keep them to low-commitment areas like tableware, wall art, handle pulls... things that can easily be replaced. Designing your whole house around a trend is how we got to the modern farmhouse era, which as an era will inherently feel dated in 5 years.
