This past month, we partnered with the Rising Tide Surf Team to support their monthly surf programs by donating 50 custom performance quick-dry towels.

mułaa, meaning “Rising Tide” in the tla-o-qui-aht language—is more than a name; it represents a growing movement. The towel design features a hand-drawn map highlighting local surf breaks across tla-o-qui-aht and yuułuʔiłʔatḥ territory. This meaningful artwork was created in collaboration with Gisele Martin, the tla-o-qui-aht Tribal Parks, and the Ucluelet Culture and Language Department.

Our hope is that this map serves as an invitation—to learn the traditional place names, deepen our understanding of these coastal regions, and honor the nuu-chah-nulth people who have cared for these lands for generations.

In celebration of National Indigenous Peoples Day, we’ll be releasing a limited number of these towels on our Canadian site. 100% of proceeds will be donated to the mułaa Rising Tide Surf Team.
