There’s something special about a home that reflects the rhythm of the people who live in it. Zeke and Jenna Lau’s North Shore home does exactly that — calm, grounded, and deeply connected to the place they call home. Between surf seasons, showings, and long days spent in and out of the ocean, their space is designed to feel functional, minimal, and peaceful.

Tell us a little about yourselves.
Jenna: I’m Jenna, and I'm a real estate agent here on Oahu.
Zeke: I’m Zeke, and I'm a professional surfer. We spend a lot of our time here on the North Shore, so it was important that our home really fit our lifestyle.

What was the vision for designing your home?
We worked with Jasmine at Citron & Date. We had a smaller space to work with, so we wanted it to feel really functional, minimal, and calming. We leaned into earth tones to reflect our surroundings and brought in a bit of a retro surf vibe. We wanted to bring in natural textures like jute, wicker, caning, and linen helped make everything feel grounded and zen.

What’s your favorite object in the house?
Jenna: My favorite piece is a small Pegge Hopper painting in the kitchen. She’s eating Libby’s Manapua, which makes it feel so personal and perfect for the space.

Zeke: This has always been our dream to have one home on the South Shore of Oahu, and one home here on the North Shore. Especially in the winter time when I'm surfing a bunch and want to have my family around. We're super stoked.
