This Giving Tuesday, we are pleased to announce our partnership with High Fives Foundation. This 501 non-profit organization focuses on providing grants for rehabilitation support to athletes with life-altering injuries as a result of mountain sports. It also promote awareness of injury prevention.

The High Fives x Slowtide Quick-Dry towel features a photograph captured by High Fives Foundation athlete, Orion Owens. 100% of the collaboration towel’s proceeds will be donated to High Fives Foundation.

Read below to hear the connection between our friend Orion and the foundation. Thanks for sharing your story and talents with us.
How has High fives supported you and why is it important to give back?
"Since the first year after my injury the High Fives Foundation has been there to support everything that encompasses a life changing injury. From personal training sessions, learning to sit ski, learning to mountain bike and surfing with friends. Through these experiences they’ve created a community of like-minded individuals pushing themselves in adaptive sports, mentoring recently injured athletes and living an active lifestyle again. Now it’s a blessing to be able to give back to a foundation that feels like a family by creating a functional piece of art that showcases my favorite subject."

What makes this project with Orion and Slowtide special?
“It is a full circle with Orion” says Roy Tuscany, CEO / Founder of High Fives Foundation “to watch an individual go through a life-changing injury and then continue on a path of positive growth in their professionally career is a wild ride, and to see Orion thriving, creating and capturing the  images of the world, is a blessing. Now to see this image on a towel giving back to the foundation that has helped him through this process, that is wild thing about circles, they always come back around”
